Trust Document Template Changes May 2020

 


From the most recent CAS360 update, users will need to update headers the following Trust documents if they have already been customised.

  • Trustee Minutes Or Resolutions
  • Unitholder Minutes Or Resolutions
  • Register of Unitholders
  • Unit Certificate
  • Distribution Statement
  • Declaration of Distribution Resolution
  • Declaration of Distribution Resolution (Units)

Why has this change been made

This change has been made to improve the record keeping of Trust Relationships. Now users are allowed to record multiple Trustees in a Trust.

Also, a number of new text paragraphs have been added to the Trustee Minute Or Resolution template to accommodate the new Trust Relationships.

Trustees company number (if any) appeared in a separate line

As multiple Trustees can now be added, if the Trustees have a company number this will be displayed next to each trustee’s name instead of the next line.

Also, a number of new text paragraphs have been added to the Trustee Minute Or Resolution template to accommodate the new Trust Relationships.

How to update your default customised document

How to update your default customised document

1.   Go to Settings | Document Templates
2.   Go through the above mentioned documents list and identify if you have a customised document and if it is marked as default
3.   Download the Master template of that document.
4.   Customise the master template with your changes.
5.   Upload the new template custom template and ‘set as default’.

Repeat the above steps for each document that has been customised.
